Last year's Easter Fun at the Honey Baked Ham store had me anticipating a long line and picky customers. I actually made sure I went all by myself today so I didn't have to worry about my kids complaining about how long it was taking.
I had a doctor's appointment so my Mom had Donovan and Norah was in school. The closest Honey Baked Ham Store was within a mile or two of the doctor's office so I decided to go today when I knew I'd be by myself. The doctor's appointment was a quick one so I had plenty of time to wait in a very long line and still probably be able to pick up Norah from school without having to utilize "extended day care".
I pull into the parking lot and there were hardly any cars. I was worried the store was actually closed because the last couple of times I've gone shopping for the beloved Easter Ham I had to wait in a line that was out the door long. I was happy to see that the lights were on, employees inside and the door opened with ease. I was dumbfounded - where was all the customers??? Did I miss Easter or something??? I actually had to pick which employee I wanted to help me. There were three employees eagerly awaiting for my decision. I decided on the young man who was closest to the "exit"- no other reason than that. He took my order, went to the refrigerator door pulled out a Ham, carefully undressed it and I'll be damned it was "beautiful"! Just like last year, I found my "ham in the rough" on the first try!
Isn't She A Beauty? I can tell you She smells really good too! |
Maybe I need to play the lottery - whatcha think??? He carefully dressed the Ham back up and double bagged it.
Silly me forgot my coupon. Just because I like to torture myself, I asked the cashier so what kind of "deal" am I missing out on since I left my coupon sitting on my counter? She says to me, "oh look at that, I just have an extra coupon just for you!" BONUS! Saved me some $5.00. Love it, just love it!
